Program Manager (Contract)
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary:
This position offers an exciting opportunity to serve as the operational backbone for a major technology company's Oregon site, driving meaningful community engagement and site-level programming. The successful candidate will orchestrate a diverse portfolio of activities including large-scale hackathon events, university partnership initiatives, volunteer coordination, and day-to-day site operations support. This role requires a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys the variety that comes with managing multiple projects simultaneously. The position demands strong organizational capabilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination with various stakeholders. Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage site-level events including hackathons, social committee activities, and volunteer programs
- Build and maintain relationships with local universities including Portland State and Oregon State for mentorship and recruitment initiatives
- Plan and execute event logistics including venue coordination, volunteer sourcing, and resource management
- Serve as liaison between the site and university partners, including occasional travel to campus locations
- Create and maintain project tracking systems, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel documentation
- Support business management activities and general office operations
- Manage volunteer coordination efforts for various site programs
- Organize mentorship programs and resume review sessions with university partners
- Maintain on-site presence to support daily operations and event requirements
- Develop detailed project plans to accomplish organizational goals and direct related activities
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of event management experience
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience
- Minimum 2 years of onsite office management experience
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of overall corporate experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field required

Additional Details:
- Location: Hillsboro, OR (Hybrid: 2 days/week Onsite)
- Duration: 5 months
- Pay Range*: $48 - $54.50 per hour
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
- Job Status: Non-Exempt
