Production Baker (F/T)
We are looking for a full-time, hard-charging, dedicated production baker. The bakery produces 8 to 12 menu items from scratch to support nine (9) cafes, several are open daily. The ideal candidate will be multi-faceted, high-energy, dynamic, creative, and fun. We need someone knowledgeable of bakery items, who can scale a recipe, and who loves what they do. Our bakery is small but mighty and we like to laugh and bake at the same time. Be creative, bring your ideas to the table, and show up ready to work You may also be someone with a strong bread background who can manage things when the Chef is off. The open position is for 10pm to 3am; hours are subject to change for business needs.
A Baker is responsible for delivering goods that are not only delicious and to the specifications of the company, but that are safe and fresh as well. They often have the following responsibilities:
Qualifications
- Previous production experience is a plus, but if you are dedicated and can get it done- WE NEED YOU
- Be a baker who loves to be here, show up on time, and have fun while making awesome food
- Schedule may be flexible, with respect to production schedule and quality of work
- Bring your creativity, sense of humor, strong work ethic, math skills, ability to read a recipe and scale it up or down, knowledge of all things pastry, and laminate dough experience a plus
- Be Awesome, fun to work with, and come ready to dive in and get going
Responsibilities
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes
- Handle and store ingredients and food
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Execute opening and closing procedures
- Set up workstations with ingredients and equipment
- Monitor station inventory levels
- Operate kitchen equipment such as convection and rotating ovens, sheeter, and stoves
- Occasionally may perform savory tasks: Chop, bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods
