CNC Machinist/Operator

About
Duties:
- Set up and operate 3 and 4 and 5-axis CNC machines to perform machining operations according to specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure accuracy of finished products
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role
- Proficient in operating Fanuc controls and programming
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tools, and materials
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and their use in quality control
- Basic math skills for performing calculations and measurements
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Proficiency in using SolidWorks or similar CAD software is preferred
- Experience with lathe operations is a plus
