Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (Remote – USA)

Pay Range: $55 per hour (C2C)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support daily operations and data engineering activities for a large-scale data platform. This position involves ensuring the availability, quality, and security of data, supporting partner requests, and improving data workflows that support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads.

This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in Azure data services, large-scale data pipeline development, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operational tasks for a large enterprise data platform.
• Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Monitor data quality, reliability, and system performance.
• Implement and maintain data security best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and program teams to deliver enhancements and platform improvements.
• Use Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL, and Kusto for data processing needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues in a fast-moving environment.
• Automate recurring operational tasks using scripting tools (Python preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure technologies, including:
• Azure Data Factory
• Azure Data Lake
• Azure Synapse
• Azure SQL
• Kusto / Azure Data Explorer
• Azure Storage Services
• Proficiency in Python for automation and data processing; familiarity with C# is a plus.
• Strong understanding of data security principles and secure development practices.
• Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing data workflows.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and drive technical problem-solving.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
