Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control automated manufacturing processes.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to support facility upkeep and equipment modifications.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to diagnose problems accurately.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule preventive tasks.
- Lead or assist with facilities maintenance projects, including residential painting, structural repairs, or upgrades.
- Supervise or coordinate with other maintenance staff or contractors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Support manufacturing operations by maintaining production equipment and minimizing downtime.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for maintenance support.
Skills
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot circuits and control systems effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with HVAC, conveyors, pumps, motors, and other industrial equipment.
- Experience working with schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams for accurate diagnostics.
- Proficiency in operating tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic instruments.
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and programming.
- Skilled in welding techniques for repairs or fabrication tasks.
- Facilities maintenance experience across various environments including manufacturing or residential settings.
- Leadership or supervising experience in a maintenance team is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
