About
Our St. Louis, Missouri facility is looking for a motivated Material Handler to support our busy warehouse operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, sorting, and organizing materials and products within the warehouse. This role is fundamental to the smooth flow of goods through our logistics network. You will operate various equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport inventory to and from designated areas. Maintaining an organized and safe work environment is a top priority. This position requires physical strength and endurance, as well as a dedication to safety best practices. Your role will directly impact efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Keep the work area clean and free from hazards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Certification to operate forklifts (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 pounds regularly.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Basic understanding of logistics operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
