Job Overview

MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment.

We are looking for a dedicated and detail orientated self-starter who has the following skills and experience:

Duties

  • Review and update MSALABS' Safety Manual together with Global Safety Coordinators
  • Ensure the customer HSE requirements are understood, implemented and maintained
  • Conduct internal HSE audits and coordinate external HSE audits.
  • Provide training and mentorship on HSE policies and promote a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and acts.
  • Conduct internal HSE meetings and attend joint HSE meetings as required.
  • Develop and monitor MSALABS' HSE training program.
  • Coordinate fire extinguisher and worksite inspections.
  • Conduct incident investigation and hazard assessments.
  • Identify and implement methods for cost savings, and improved efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development and/or implementation of new technology.
  • Perform other duties as required by management.

Requirements

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Detail orientated and ability to work very well under pressure.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • BSc. or Technical Diploma; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 1-3 years' experience in an HSE role at role in a related field. General commercial laboratory experience will be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
