About
Join our growing logistics team in Durham, North Carolina, as a Material Handler! This position is fundamental to the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving the movement, storage, and organization of goods. You will be responsible for ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall productivity of our distribution center. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic. This role provides a solid foundation in warehouse operations and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Move, sort, and stack materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Assist with inventory control, including receiving, put-away, and cycle counting.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company Safety regulations and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve operational goals.
- Understand and implement efficient logistics practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with basic material handling equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards and procedures.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
