Join our dedicated team as a Forklift Operator in our Omaha, Nebraska facility. This position is essential for the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse and logistics activities. You will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, stack, and organize materials and inventory. Key duties include loading and unloading trucks, transferring goods between different warehouse sections, and assisting with order fulfillment processes. Safety is our highest priority, and all operators must adhere to rigorous safety standards and consistently wear appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to transport materials, equipment, and inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and other vehicles.
- Stack and retrieve items from storage racks and designated areas.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through proper handling and placement of goods.
- Ensure all loads are stable, secure, and transported safely.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to achieve operational targets.
- Report any forklift issues, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous certified forklift operation experience required.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience within a warehouse or logistics environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Deep understanding of forklift safety protocols and the critical importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial reasoning, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work autonomously and contribute positively to a team.
- Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.
- Capability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced setting.
