About
We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Orlando, Florida. This role is crucial for the smooth and efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for moving, locating, replenishing, and stocking materials throughout the facility. The Material Handler ensures that inventory is accessible and organized, supporting picking, packing, and shipping operations. A focus on safety and efficiency is paramount in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified).
- Move, sort, and stack materials to and from various locations within the warehouse.
- Replenish inventory stock in designated picking areas.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Ensure all materials are properly identified, labeled, and stored.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stocktaking.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics operations.
- Previous experience in a material handler, warehouse, or similar role is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs) consistently.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and material handling techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
