Join our thriving logistics hub in Phoenix, Arizona, as a Receiving Clerk. This vital role involves accurately documenting and processing incoming shipments, ensuring all goods are accounted for and stored correctly. The Receiving Clerk plays a key part in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming freight, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and preparing goods for put-away. Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify quantities against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Accurately document all received goods using the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label items appropriately for storage and internal tracking.
- Communicate any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Support other warehouse functions as required by the logistics team.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
- Proficiency in using WMS or similar inventory tracking software.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
