Job Summary:
We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Boston. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials within the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management. Your role is crucial to the flow of goods and the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. Safety is paramount in this role, and adherence to all protocols is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
  • Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance issues.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and materials between different areas of the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of loads.
  • Assist with inventory counts, put-away, and order picking as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and dock doors are clear.
  • Follow all established safety procedures and company policies.
  • Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes, high-visibility vest, and hard hat if necessary.
  • Adhere to all traffic rules within the warehouse premises.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency in all logistics tasks.

Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift operator certification from a recognized institution.
  • Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices for material handling.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
