Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our Seattle facility. This role is vital for ensuring the integrity of our stock levels, preventing discrepancies, and optimizing warehouse operations. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory variances, and implementing procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency. You will work with a dedicated team focused on best practices in logistics and warehouse management.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Implement and refine inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure product freshness.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend actions.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure proper put-away and picking processes.
  • Operate warehouse equipment as needed and maintain its safe use.
  • Ensure all safety regulations are followed and appropriate PPE is utilized.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and turns for management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS) and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 40 lbs, and standing for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE in a warehouse setting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
