About
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking stock levels, and assisting with inventory control procedures. This role is critical for ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately record inventory data, including receipts, disbursements, and adjustments.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
- Investigate and report on inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of inventory storage areas.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movement.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes for incoming goods.
- Prepare inventory reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Support the logistics team with inventory-related tasks.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent damage, using proper lifting techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an inventory clerk or in a similar warehouse/logistics role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics concepts.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of required PPE.
