About
Our Baltimore, Maryland location is looking for an efficient Order Picker to join our dedicated team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. This involves navigating the warehouse using a pick list or RF scanner, carefully retrieving items, and ensuring the correct quantities are picked. Attention to detail is critical to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced logistics environment, contributing to the timely fulfillment of orders. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety procedures, including the appropriate use of PPE, is essential. This role requires individuals who are physically active and capable of performing lifting throughout their shift. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order specifications using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items and quantities against order details.
- Package items securely for shipment.
- Stage picked orders for loading.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, such as stocking or cycle counting.
- Contribute to team goals for order fulfillment speed and accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with orders or inventory to supervision.
- Participate in ongoing safety training.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Ability to perform lifting (up to 40 lbs) and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
