About

Behavior technicians play a vital role in ensuring our families receive the highest level of care. They work with the children one on one under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Typical Responsibilities:
Although it is not possible to provide an exhaustive list of all types of duties, responsibilities and performance standards, the following are essential job functions:

  • Timely arrival for scheduled shift
  • Reliable, regular attendance
  • Consistently displays professionalism in his/her interactions with parents and clients alike
  • Participates in staff development and meetings as required
  • Promotes a unified team-oriented atmosphere
  • Communicates effectives and in a timely manner with team
  • Assists fellow behavior technicians as needed
  • Consistently models a positive, motivating demeanor at all times
  • Collaborates with BCBAs and other primary therapists regarding clients' treatment plans
  • Works directly with individuals. Works closely with the BCBA and therapy team to develop client's skills while providing quality therapy
  • Demonstrates mastery in knowledge of basic behavior analytic principles
  • Understands and applies principles of applied behavior analysis
  • Provides developmentally and behaviorally appropriate interactions in order to effectively implement goals for individual clients
  • Demonstrates understanding of clients' overall and specific goals
  • Data collection through the use of online portal, daily report
  • Maintains any needed documentation
  • Ensures the safety and security of clients, staff, volunteers and visitors by knowing and following all safety procedures as required
  • Adheres to code of ethics policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older per State and Federal standards
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Previous experience working with children preferred

  • Familiarity with applied behavior analysis principles and techniques preferred
  • Bachelor Degree preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
