Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a seamless dining experience. This role is essential in setting the tone for guest satisfaction and supporting the overall operations of our restaurant. Previous host/host experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality are highly valued.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Provide accurate wait times and answer guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Handle phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette and guest relations skills
• Assist with guest needs throughout their dining experience to enhance guest satisfaction
• Support other front-of-house duties as needed to ensure excellent guest services

Qualifications

• Previous host/host experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of food service operations and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
• Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not required
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail
• A friendly demeanor and positive attitude are essential for success in this role

Pay: $ $17.00 per hour
