Fuel delivery driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Fuel Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves safely transporting fuel and related products to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving background, familiarity with commercial vehicles, and experience handling different types of trucks including tanker, flatbed, and refrigerated trailers. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Duties

• Safely operate trucks equipped for fuel delivery, including tractor-trailers, tanker trucks, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers.
• Load and unload fuel products using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks.
• Drive route schedules efficiently, adhering to delivery timelines and safety protocols.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with company policies.
• Ensure secure loading and unloading of freight, including hazardous materials when applicable.
• Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations during route driving.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
• Assist with maintenance or minor repairs of trucks as needed.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for tanker, flatbed, or refrigerated trailer preferred.
• Proven experience in truck driving, especially in freight or delivery services involving route driving.
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable.
• Ability to load & unload freight using forklifts or roll-off trucks safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with various truck types including dump trucks and tractor-trailers is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to transporting hazardous or sensitive materials.
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.
• Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines reliably. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safe driving practices and excellent customer service standards. Candidates should possess the necessary skills for efficient route driving and freight handling while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.
