About
Kreider Farms is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of industrial equipment, with a focus on both electrical and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will bring 3 years of industrial maintenance experience and possess expertise in automation and PLC programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on all equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and other automation systems.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely repairs to minimize production interruptions.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment, ensuring it is set up and calibrated properly.
- Maintain and repair automated systems, conveyor systems, and other production-related machinery.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure equipment downtime is minimized and operations run smoothly.
- Complete and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with project work and continuous improvement efforts as needed.
- Document/log maintenance activities, preventative maintenance, and systems performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong background in troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including experience with motors, drives, conveyors, and industrial controls.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting; experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with automation systems and their integration into manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Solid understanding of safety standards and practices in an industrial environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
