Position Summary
Provides direct and general supervision to games staff in order to ensure effective and efficient gaming operations. Creates and ensures dealers are providing an entertaining and energetic atmosphere while maintaining game security and developing customers.

Essential Functions
(The following statements are intender as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions).

  • Staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop, monitor and lead team members in such a manner to maintain a positive employee relations culture. Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline and other employment actions for team members.
  • Motivate and supervise staff in order to ensure that team members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established departmental and guest service objectives.
  • Assist the Table Games Manager with establishing department standards, guidelines and objectives and maintain other administrative processes such as budgeting and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.
  • Maintain, through supervision and direct observation, a continuous awareness of all Table Games activity; Report any suspected irregular or illegal gaming practices to the Table Games Manager, Security, Surveillance and Missouri Gaming Commission to maintain the integrity of the gaming tables
  • Handle customer disputes, and provide top quality customer service to guests.
  • Monitor Table Games performance and performs data analysis as appropriate for the purpose of optimizing profitability and reducing costs.
  • Has authority to issue credit (with regulatory approval), make payments, set limits and otherwise control monies related to Table Games operations and within the limits stated in systems of internal controls.
  • Grant complimentary services to players, according to established guidelines, and resolves guest complaints or problems to ensure courteous and friendly service to all gaming customers.
  • Maintain familiarity with all games, as well as strategies and deviations from strategies used in said games to protect the company's assets.
  • Circulate among gaming tables to ensure that operations are conducted according to MGC regulations and department Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure that games and tables are adequately staffed for each shift, arranging for staff rotations and breaks, and locating substitute employees as necessary.
  • Ensure that all proper procedures for the Table Games and Poker Departments are correctly implemented and maintained, i.e., fills, credits, transfers, pit boxes, drops, etc.
  • Provide comprehensive training concerning the Missouri Riverboat Gaming Act, Missouri Gaming Commission rules and regulations and internal controls; ensure the Table Games and Poker staffs are trained on and comply with internal control procedures as they apply to Table Games operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Missouri Gaming License
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various table games and previous table games supervisor experience
  • Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through an Associate's Degree in Business Management and at least 2 year experience directly related to the accountabilities specified, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
