Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
  • Assist with patient assessments, including intake procedures and diagnostic evaluations, ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Support patients during therapy sessions, promoting engagement and positive interactions while maintaining safety standards
  • Collaborate with supervisors, clinicians, and families to develop tailored strategies that enhance learning and behavioral outcomes
  • Maintain detailed medical records, notes, and documentation of therapy sessions using appropriate medical terminology and records management systems
  • Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education techniques, medical documentation, and patient care best practices

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is advantageous
  • Experience working with people with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment procedures, and HIPAA compliance is beneficial
  • Demonstrated ability to collect data accurately and maintain detailed medical records
  • Background in special education or behavioral health fields enhances your effectiveness in this role
