Great Plains Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of small agricultural
and construction equipment and implements, is seeking a detail-oriented
Project Manager to join our Product Strategy team at our Corporate
Office in Salina, KS.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for supporting the entire
lifecycle of New Product Development, from concept to commercialization,
including the planning, coordination, and execution of new product
launches. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure
all project milestones are on time and within budget, ensuring that our
innovative solutions meet the highest standards of quality and
efficiency.
This position is ideal for candidates with conceptual knowledge of
Project Management Methodologies, Product Development Processes and
Budget Management. Familiarity with manufacturing processes is also

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project
management while contributing to the success of a strong and growing
company. This position works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m.**This is an on-site position based in Salina, KS.**
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of project plans, timelines, and schedules
for new product launches
- Help organize and track project milestones and deliverables across
teams
- Ensure that resources are allocated efficiently to meet project
goals
- Support communication between various departments (Engineering,
Marketing, Supply chain, and Manufacturing) to ensure alignment on
launch objectives and timelines.
- Schedule and participate in team meetings, documenting action items
and following up on progress.
- Track dependencies between teams and manage any potential roadblocks
to project timelines.
- Monitor and track project progress, ensuring adherence to deadlines
and deliverables.
- Generate status reports for management and stakeholders, identifying
key risks, delays, and solutions.
- Maintain and update project documentation, ensuring that all
materials are current and accessible.
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear
prescribed safety and protective equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications,
physical demands, and/or work environment.
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited College,
University or Technical School; six months to one-year related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
and experience
- Ability to analyze journals, technical procedures, regulations and
other documents
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word,
PowerPoint, & Google Drive
- Excellent written communication skills to write reports,
correspondence, procedure manuals, etc.
- Effective presentation skills to deliver information to a variety of
audiences and respond to questions from groups of managers,
customers, etc.
- Familiarity with agricultural and construction equipment helpful
