Maintenance Carpenter

Chevy Chase Club is a prestigious private club nestled in the heart of Chevy Chase, MD. Our historic property boasts a rich legacy and expansive grounds that require meticulous care and maintenance. We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Carpenter to join our team and contribute to the upkeep and enhancement of our beautiful facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Performing general maintenance work
• Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including but not limited to framing, installing fixtures, repairing structures, and finishing work.
• Work on both interior and exterior projects, maintaining the property's historical integrity while meeting modern standards.
• Collaborate with other maintenance and construction teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Makes and repairs furniture such as Adirondack chairs and other furniture.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of related experience in carpentry.
• Proficient in using a variety of tools and equipment common to the carpentry trade.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of historical preservation techniques is a plus.
