Sanitation Technician

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout our facility. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols and GMP, and the ability to work efficiently in various environments. Duties include routine cleaning tasks, deep cleaning of equipment and rooms, handling of cleaning chemicals, documentation of cleaning records, and responding to maintenance requests. The role may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, moderate heat, humidity, and moderate background noise. Candidates must be comfortable with physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending. Previous experience in sanitation or a related field is preferred but not required. Job Responsibilities

● Clean, maintain, and upkeep equipment, utensils, tools, and dishes.

● Routine daily cleaning and housekeeping such as but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, trash removal and bag replacements.

● Deep clean of rooms, stations, and equipment.

● Utilize chemicals with the proper dilution for cleaning and sanitizing tasks

● Document and maintain proper cleaning records

● Maintain exterior and interior of facility including but not limited to: parking lot, entree ways, loading docks, hallways, lunchrooms, and processing rooms.

● Handle emergency and upkeep requests

● Utilize numerous sanitation machines and/or equipment to maintain facility cleanliness such as but not limited to floor machines, dish equipment, or sprayers.

● Stock and maintain PPE stations.

● Additional duties directed by management.

● The person in this position may be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals and fumes

● Frequently works in rooms with bright light where eye protection is required

● Frequently works in rooms with moderate heat and humidity

● The person in this position is constantly exposed to moderate background noise due to environmental systems, equipment, and fans

● Other duties and responsibilities as required

Requirements

● Highschool Diploma or Equivalent

● Capacity to take direction

● Attention to detail

● Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment

● Willingness and readiness to work extended hours as needed

● Communicate clearly in writing and verbally

● Ability to wear PPE (Hairnet, Beard net, Gloves, Lab coat, etc.) and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices

● Ability to follow safety procedures

● Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs

● While performing duties of this job, it is required to regularly stand, walk, use hands or fingers, handle/feel/reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear

Working Conditions

Long periods of sitting and/or standing, a noisy work environment, and warehouse temperature, humidity, and conditions are affected by outside conditions.
