Part-Time Line Cook

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
• Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection when needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
• Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are followed
• Support food preparation for catering events or special functions
• Handle food with care, adhering to proper food safety protocols
• Assist with plating and serving dishes in a timely manner
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
• Maintain proper knife skills and use culinary equipment safely

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings preferred
• Knowledge of dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
• Familiarity with menu planning, fine dining, or catering is advantageous
• Strong food handling and safety knowledge
• Excellent knife skills and meal preparation abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with food service, kitchen operations, or the food industry preferred
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Prior restaurant or culinary experience is highly desirable

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
