Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sub Arc Welder to join a leading structural steel fabrication team in Tulsa. The Sub Arc Welder will perform high-quality welds using the Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) process to assemble and fabricate large structural components. This position requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) equipment according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Perform welding operations on structural steel components with precision and efficiency.
• Inspect finished welds to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Monitor welding parameters and adjust settings as needed for quality output.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE guidelines, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sub Arc Welder in a mechanical or structural fabrication environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, follow welding procedures, and interpret welding symbols.
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and weld quality standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work including bending, standing, and climbing.
• Must be able to pass a Sub Arc welding test.
• Commitment to workplace safety and consistent attendance.
