About The Role
The Technical Writer 4 at Aquent Talent plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and consistency of technical content related to advisor recommendations, onboarding guides, and customer-facing documentation. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in technical writing, content development, and cloud technologies, particularly within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The successful candidate will review, update, and maintain technical materials across multiple platforms, utilizing tools such as GitHub and internal content management systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and support staff, is essential to ensure documentation accuracy and relevance. The role also involves facilitating catalog updates and ensuring that all technical content aligns with organizational standards and customer expectations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced technical writers to contribute to impactful projects within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technical Communication, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of overall experience in technical writing, content development, and cloud technologies.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing and content creation for technical audiences.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with GitHub, including pull requests and version control workflows.
• Proficiency in cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of GitHub workflows and technical documentation standards.
• Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update technical documentation, including advisor recommendations, onboarding guides, and customer-facing materials.
• Maintain consistency and quality across all content platforms, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with product teams, developers, and support staff to gather technical information and translate it into clear, concise documentation.
• Utilize GitHub for version control, managing pull requests, and tracking changes effectively.
• Facilitate catalog updates and ensure documentation reflects the latest product features and technical developments.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation on platforms such as Microsoft Learn or similar tools.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for documentation processes and content quality.
• Ensure all technical content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with customer needs and organizational goals.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to stay informed of product updates and technical changes.
