Duties

  • Safely operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and other mechanical tools to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
  • Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately
  • Perform order picking and order fulfillment tasks with precision using various equipment like pickers and order pickers to ensure timely shipping & receiving
  • Stock shelves efficiently by organizing materials according to warehouse distribution standards and safety protocols
  • Assist with packaging products securely for shipment while adhering to OSHA safety guidelines and quality standards
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and participate in cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels
  • Support shipping & receiving processes by loading/unloading trucks and verifying inbound/outbound shipments against shipping documents

Skills

  • Extensive experience with inventory management systems (including AS400) and RF scanners for real-time stock tracking
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and other mechanical tools safely and effectively
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management practices including stocking, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and inventory control
  • Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
  • Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance is desirable
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards ensures a safe working environment for all team members
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency during materials handling tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and inventory accuracy
  • Knowledge of manufacturing or construction environments enhances adaptability in diverse warehouse settings
