Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our innovative team within a dynamic manufacturing facility. This role involves designing, developing, and executing testing procedures to ensure the quality and functionality of manufacturing equipment and products. Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing protocols for manufacturing equipment, including robotics, CNC machinery, and industrial systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis on product failures or equipment malfunctions to identify underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to design fixtures, test setups, and process improvements.
  • Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robot programming systems, and vision inspection systems to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with process engineering teams to enhance manufacturing workflows through lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Conduct schematic reviews, create detailed documentation, and interpret technical drawings (GD&T) for assembly line components and tooling.
  • Support fabrication, tooling development, and assembly line integration by providing mechanical knowledge and technical expertise.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards by ensuring quality control measures are followed during testing procedures.
  • Assist in the integration of industrial equipment such as welding systems, CNC machines, CAM programming tools, and vision inspection systems into production processes.
  • Participate in project scheduling activities to meet deadlines for new product launches or process upgrades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility or factory environment with hands-on involvement in assembly lines or fabrication processes.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in robotics, CNC programming (including CAM), tool design, and industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo; experience with Schematics and GD&T is essential.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robot programming platforms, vision inspection systems, and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, ISO 9001 standards, and process engineering best practices.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively using structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration across cross-functional teams including design, production, quality assurance, and maintenance.
