Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Buca Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, casual dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. This role involves managing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, supervising staff, and maintaining efficient kitchen workflows to provide an outstanding customer experience.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
  • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation meet brand specifications.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling with accuracy.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas.
  • Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet business demands during peak hours.
  • Assist in menu planning and development to enhance culinary offerings and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor kitchen operations for efficiency, cleanliness, and safety, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Support customer service initiatives by ensuring timely food delivery and resolving any operational issues promptly.
  • Participate in budgeting processes and assist with financial management related to food costs and labor expenses.

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a quick service or casual dining restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated staff training, team management, and supervising experience.
  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and inventory control procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and manage restaurant operations smoothly.
  • Experience in restaurant management, including shift management, budgeting, and food industry best practices.
  • Background in hospitality management or culinary arts is preferred; fine dining or banquet experience is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service. Pay: $70, $75,000.00 per year
