Job Summary:

We're hiring a versatile and experienced Class A Commercial Truck Driver to join our team. This is a hands-on, multi-role position — ideal for a true "Swiss Army knife" driver. You'll operate straight trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers depending on the day's needs, supporting operations across our mill, manufacturing plant, distribution centers, and customer delivery routes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various commercial vehicles including straight trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers (GVW 26,001+ lbs.)
• Roll-off truck duties include frequent trash hauls to the landfill and deliveries of sawdust and wood chips to designated locations
• Occasionally operate a trailer-mounted forklift to assist with deliveries and pickups
• Pick up and deliver finished goods and raw materials between mills, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and direct to customers
• Plan efficient delivery routes and meet required delivery schedules
• Load and unload freight (may include hand loading and use of pallet jacks)
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles remain in safe operating condition
• Maintain accurate ELD logs of hours of service and comply with DOT regulations
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or delivery issues to the supervisor
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance; represent the company positively with customers

Requirements and Skills:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with current DOT medical card
• Proven work experience operating Class A vehicles in various environments
• Comfortable with GPS, ELDs, and route planning tools
• Ability to lift, load, and maneuver freight safely
• Clean driving record and strong understanding of DOT safety regulations
• Strong communication skills and professional conduct with customers
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules, routes, and load types
• Willing to undergo background and drug screening

4. Returned Goods: Handle pickups carefully and document all returned materials accurately.
5. Vehicle Cleanliness: Keep your cab clean and perform basic maintenance checks (oil, water, tires, fuel) daily.
6. License & Records: Maintain a valid CDL and DOT medical card. Your license must stay in good standing — even for personal driving.
