Role
The Housekeeping Manager leads and supports the housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness and guest service at both Amangiri and Camp Sarika. This role ensures that rooms and public areas meet luxury hospitality expectations and that guest needs are met with exceptional care from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure guest satisfaction by anticipating needs and exceeding expectations
- Lead daily housekeeping operations at Amangiri and Camp Sarika
- Support and assume leadership in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping
- Train, supervise, and develop the housekeeping team, including supervisors
- Conduct daily briefings and inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house
- Oversee room readiness, turndown service, and special guest requests
- Ensure effective communication between departments (Front Office, Engineering, Laundry)
- Manage inventory, par levels, and timely ordering of supplies and amenities
- Coordinate guest laundry, lost & found, minibar, and uniform programs
- Develop and implement departmental SOPs, onboarding, and training programs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of housekeeping management experience in a luxury hotel or resort
- Strong leadership, training, and delegation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in PMS, HotSOS, and Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, laundry operations, and inventory systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- English language proficiency; multilingual is a plus
- High school diploma or GED required; hospitality or related education preferred
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Capable of lifting moderate loads and working in both indoor and outdoor environments
