Job Overview
Ember & Oak Cigar Lounge is seeking a professional and personable Bartender to join our upscale establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in fine dining or food service environments. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable lounge experience. Candidates should be comfortable working in a vibrant nightlife setting and possess strong multitasking abilities to manage bar operations efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage POS transactions using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and billing.
• Monitor guest consumption to promote responsible drinking practices.
• Restock bar supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operations during shifts.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods, including nights and weekends if required.
• Uphold all food safety standards and adhere to alcohol service regulations.
• Assist in setting up for special events like banquets or private parties when necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar food industry role, preferably with fine dining or nightclub experience.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and special events if needed.

Pay: $ $75.00 per hour
