About the role:
Join our team as a Technical Support Specialist and become the go-to expert for Multiquip's construction equipment and power generators. You'll tackle mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic challenges through multiple communication channels, delivering fast, reliable solutions. When information is missing, you'll dig in, research, and create answers that keep our customers moving. Plus, you'll support field service operations with key administrative and billable tasks that make a real impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer technical inquiries and troubleshooting requests.
  • Provide timely follow-up communication to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Distribute technical support documentation via email, fax, and other channels.
  • Maintain accurate and organized information to enable prompt and reliable support.
  • Collaborate with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Adhere to all departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Review and update collected technical support information for accuracy.
  • Research equipment and components to develop test procedures, repair processes, and troubleshooting techniques, and document the findings.
  • Contribute topics, solutions, and insights to the FAQ and internal knowledge databases.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of technical information documents.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of electromechanical experience, hands-on service repair experience, or relevant technical training.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including effective telephone communication.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, diagrams, and functionality.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics.
  • Ability to understand instructions provided through digital photos, diagrams, written materials, or verbal explanations.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and accurate data-entry capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:
This position primarily involves office-based work and customer communication. A typical 8-hour workday includes extended periods of sitting, phone use, talking, hearing, reading, writing, and computer typing.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation $25-$30/hr
