Duties

• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts
• Upsell related products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stocking practices
• Conduct inventory checks, restock shelves, and manage stock levels to ensure product availability
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Lead product demonstrations to educate customers about new items and features, enhancing their shopping experience
• Supervise junior team members when needed, supporting a collaborative store environment

Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual environment if applicable
• Proven experience in retail sales or grocery store environments with knowledge of retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and cash handling protocols
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for pricing, discounts, and totals
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
• Experience in supervising or leading team members is a plus for supporting store operations
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices to keep the store organized and appealing
• Ability to upsell products confidently while respecting customer preferences
