Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and customer relations, with excellent communication skills and a strong focus on guest satisfaction. This role is vital in ensuring guests feel valued from the moment they arrive, setting the tone for an exceptional dining or hospitality experience. Prior experience with restaurant operations, POS systems such as Aloha or Micros, and hotel or guest services is highly desirable. The Host will be the first point of contact, responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and maintaining smooth seating flow.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems like Aloha or Micros
• Provide accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests
• Maintain a clean and organized host station and waiting area
• Answer phone inquiries professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance guest relations
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment that reflects our hospitality standards
• Support other front-of-house duties as needed to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Host/Host or in food service/hospitality is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle guest interactions professionally
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience in restaurant or hotel guest services is advantageous
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and excellent phone etiquette
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
