About

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Superintendent with strong heavy civil background — someone who understands the entire job lifecycle: grading, base work, rock, utilities, traffic control, QC, trucking coordination, plant communication, production rates, safety, and client relations.

You will oversee field operations on multiple projects, manage crews, coordinate equipment/trucking, ensure quality, and deliver projects safely, on time, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor asphalt paving crews and support personnel
  • Manage daily field operations including scheduling, trucking counts, quantities, and plant coordination
  • Oversee production, compaction, yields, and asphalt laydown quality
  • Review and execute plans, grades, blueprints, and job specifications
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, QC Technicians, and Foremen
  • Ensure compliance with FDOT standards and project documentation
  • Maintain jobsite safety, toolbox talks, and hazard analysis
  • Track daily quantities, tonnages, and job costs with accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with clients, inspectors, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Travel statewide depending on project location (housing provided)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as an Asphalt Superintendent or Foreman running full crews
  • Strong understanding of grading, rock/base, stormwater utilities, and heavy civil operations
  • Experience with milling, paving, traffic control, and FDOT projects preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, grades, elevations, and specifications
  • High level of organization, leadership, and communication
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-moving environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60, $80,000.00 per year
