Duties

• Assist licensed nursing staff with daily patient care activities, including hygiene, mobility assistance, and feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
• Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior to supervising nurses promptly
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
• Help with medical procedures like catheter care, wound dressing changes, and basic phlebotomy under supervision
• Document patient interactions accurately in medical records while respecting HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a recognized CNA training program or actively pursuing certification as a Nursing Assistant
• Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and basic life support procedures
• Experience working with diverse populations such as seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory or dementia care is preferred
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks is advantageous
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members in a professional manner
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
• Compassionate attitude combined with enthusiasm for learning new skills in fast-paced clinical environments such as hospitals or outpatient clinics
