You will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated machinery. Ensuring the safety and functionality of our equipment is paramount to our logistics operations. We maintain a high standard of safety, and all technicians must adhere to strict safety protocols and consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role may involve lifting components or equipment parts, often exceeding 50 pounds, and requires physical dexterity. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on warehouse equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Install and set up new equipment as needed.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, complying with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and wear all required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Respond to emergency equipment repair calls.
- Collaborate with the operations and logistics teams to minimize downtime.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with industrial machinery and material handling equipment.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting over 50 pounds and working in various positions.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to using PPE.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.
