Our dynamic warehouse in Durham, North Carolina, is looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our stock, playing a key part in the efficiency of our entire logistics operation. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting audits, and resolving discrepancies. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for supply chain accuracy, this is the perfect fit.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status, shortages, and overages.
- Oversee the proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Ability to perform lifting of items up to 30 pounds when necessary for inventory checks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse/logistics role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
