Job Summary:
Join our growing logistics operation in Seattle, Washington as a Receiving Clerk! We need a detail-oriented individual to manage the intake of all incoming shipments. Your role will involve verifying incoming goods, inspecting for damage, and accurately documenting everything into our system. This position is key to maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the smooth flow of products into our distribution center. A strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency is required.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
  • Inspect all received goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Verify the accuracy of received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Enter received inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately.
  • Stage incoming inventory in the designated receiving area for put-away or distribution.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the required use of PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal departments regarding receiving activities.
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation and other logistics tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a receiving, shipping, or warehouse role is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using WMS or similar inventory management software.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
