Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our bustling logistics operation in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be essential to the smooth functioning of our warehouse by managing the flow of materials. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, organizing, and transporting goods throughout the facility. You will operate various types of material handling equipment and work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Safety is our utmost priority, and all employees are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will be physically fit, possess good organizational skills, and have a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials.
  • Transport materials to designated areas using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
  • Stock shelves and storage areas with incoming inventory.
  • Assist with order picking and packing processes.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
  • Load and unload trucks as required.
  • Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient material flow and workflow.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to a supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other material handling duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
