Our San Francisco, California facility is looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our team. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and ensuring that our inventory management system is up-to-date and reliable. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. Your work will directly impact our ability to fulfill orders efficiently and manage our supply chain effectively. Understanding of logistics principles and a commitment to safety are essential. You will be required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed and follow all warehouse safety guidelines. - Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory in various warehouse locations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Perform detailed audits of inventory data for accuracy.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and stocktakes.
- Identify and report damaged or obsolete stock.
- Maintain organized and accessible inventory records.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and management on inventory issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements.
- Contribute to process improvements for inventory control and logistics efficiency.
- Previous experience as an inventory clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics and warehousing best practices.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
