About
We are seeking experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our bustling logistics hub in Los Angeles, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise in handling materials will be essential for maintaining smooth warehouse operations, supporting both inbound and outbound logistics. Accuracy, adherence to safety protocols, and a proactive approach to maintaining equipment are vital for success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with incoming and outgoing goods.
- Transport products to and from storage areas, production, or shipping platforms.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Accurately stack and store materials according to warehouse layout and inventory management systems.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stocktaking procedures.
- Ensure all movements comply with safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to optimize workflow and logistics.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or unsafe conditions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and adherence to them.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in material handling and inventory.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts as needed.
