About
We are looking for an experienced Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of goods within our warehouse, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all material handling processes. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials, operating various types of warehouse equipment, and maintaining inventory integrity. This is a hands-on position that requires physical capability and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. You will be trained on the proper use of equipment and the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your well-being. A meticulous approach to handling materials and a dedication to maintaining order are essential. Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic logistics concepts is beneficial. Successful candidates will demonstrate a proactive attitude towards maintaining a safe work environment and will be comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs as part of their daily duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials and equipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Load and unload trucks as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or safety hazards.
- Support the overall logistics operations of the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operation certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of material handling equipment and warehouse safety practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Shift: Full-Time, Monday - Friday
