Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our advanced logistics facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the accuracy of our extensive inventory. Your duties will include conducting detailed cycle counts, investigating and resolving stock discrepancies, and implementing effective inventory management strategies. You will work closely with various departments to ensure seamless inventory flow and integrity. Strong analytical capabilities, proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. This position requires a combination of desk work analyzing data and physical movement within the warehouse, including tasks that may involve lifting. Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate and timely cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain inventory records within the WMS.
  • Develop and refine inventory control procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure compliance with established metrics.
  • Collaborate with operations, receiving, and shipping teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Ensure the proper identification, segregation, and storage of inventory.
  • Champion safety awareness and ensure compliance with PPE requirements.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify potential improvements in logistics flow.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to address operational challenges.
  • Be prepared for tasks that require some degree of lifting.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
  • Expertise in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Thorough understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Commitment to safety standards and the proper utilization of PPE.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
