We are seeking a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is vital to the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to the movement, storage, and shipment of goods. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will engage in a variety of tasks including receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment. This position requires a strong commitment to operational excellence, teamwork, and adherence to strict Safety protocols. We provide comprehensive training and all necessary PPE . The role involves regular physical activity, including substantial Lifting , and is a key part of our Logistics network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming inventory accurately.
- Pick, pack, and ship orders according to established procedures and customer requirements.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, manual carts) as needed.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure product integrity and order accuracy.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve operational goals.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring sustained physical effort, including Lifting up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workplace Safety and correctly using PPE .
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform frequent Lifting throughout the shift.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Experience in the Logistics industry is a plus.
