Overview
TALA, known for activewear that keeps up with busy lifestyles, has been on a rocket ship since its founding in 2019 by Grace Beverley. Built on largely organic socials, today we are a digital-first, multichannel women’s athleisure brand with a multi-faceted growth and retention strategy. TALA recently opened a 2,000-square-foot, double-fronted store on London’s Carnaby Street as part of our ambitious growth strategy, backed by a recent funding round. Reporting to the Brand Director and working side by side with the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring TALA’s social content is best in class - from concept to capture to post-production. You will focus on collaborating with our in-house social and creative teams, ensuring each campaign’s overall visual direction and aesthetic is social-first. You will capture and edit captivating and on-brand content for our social channels with a creative, strategic and trend-led mindset. This role has 2 direct reports: a Content Creator and Junior Content Creator. Additionally, you will contribute to developing and maintaining the brand’s social-first culture through innovative content strategies and hands-on production. Responsibilities
Content creation:
Spearhead and develop innovative and engaging content ideas for all social media campaigns; participate in location hunting and model scouting; provide social creative direction and ensure alignment with the overall vision. Distil project requirements and tasks to appropriate team members, including shotlists and editing schedules. Collaboratively execute social-first campaign content for primary and secondary channels to drive KPIs (engagement, reach, growth). Generate social campaign ideas and briefs. Attend campaign shoots with support from the Content Creators, wider Social Team and in-house Creative Team. Lead in capturing high-quality content (static + video) and edit videos promptly. Tailor static and video content to match the needs of all social channels while maintaining brand visual identity. Remain agile to capture ad-hoc content on non-campaign shoot days. Be confident in front of the camera and communicate passionately about the product to the TALA audience. Continuously develop new ideas for content series across TALA platforms. Strategy
Provide insights and recommendations on creative expertise and implement the overall social media content strategy, ensuring alignment with TALA brand guidelines and business objectives. Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute creative content strategies for social media campaigns. Trends
Stay abreast of the latest social-first trends, tools and best practices to drive a social-first culture and maximise the impact of TALA’s content. Requirements
We welcome candidates looking for a permanent role, as well as those who may be freelancers looking for a minimum 4 month contract. We’ll ask you more about that in the application questions. At least 3-4 years of professional social media experience across Instagram and TikTok. Experience with other social channels is a plus. You must be a creative thinker, proficient at idea generation and visualisation, and have an aesthetic eye. Excellent knowledge of current trends is crucial. Expert at directing and managing projects and campaigns, driving impactful storytelling and fostering memorable brand experiences. Highly experienced in independently creating static and video content for Instagram and TikTok. Must be comfortable in multiple content settings (behind and in front of the camera), including directing/shooting talent. Highly skilled in CapCut and/or Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro and Photoshop. Be comfortable in a start-up environment with the agility to handle multiple projects and adapt to changes in art direction and project execution. Be driven, flexible, proactive, with a positive can-do attitude, and excellent communication and organisation skills. Benefits
