Audiovisual Live Events Technician
(Audio & Video Graphics Operator – Financial Services)

Location: NYC Campus – 1271 & 1285
Environment: Regulated financial institution (Investment Banking, Markets, Asset Management)
Role Context (Financial Services–Specific)
This role supports mission-critical, executive-level communications including:
- Earnings calls and analyst briefings
- Investor days and capital markets events
- Board meetings and executive town halls
- Regulatory, compliance, and risk communications
- High-profile internal and external hybrid events
Accuracy, confidentiality, redundancy, and professionalism are non-negotiable.
All work aligns with AVIXA CTS standards and enterprise IT governance frameworks.
Position Summary
The Audiovisual Live Events Technician (Audio & Video Graphics Operator) is responsible for the live operation of audio systems, video playback, and executive graphics in a high-security, low-latency, zero-failure financial-services environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Executive Audio Operations
- Operate and manage professional audio systems for executive speech, panels, and hybrid meetings
- Configure and operate:
- Digital mixing consoles
- Wireless microphone systems with frequency coordination
- Audio DSP, matrix routing, and monitoring paths
- Ensure:
- Clean, intelligible executive audio
- Zero feedback
- Redundant audio paths where required
- Support secure audio feeds for recordings, webcasts, and regulatory archives
2. Video Playback & Financial Graphics Execution
- Execute high-accuracy video playback for:
- Earnings decks
- Market data visuals
- Legal disclaimers and regulatory slides
- Operate live graphics systems:
- PowerPoint / Keynote / PDF
- Lower-thirds, title cards, timers, and executive identifiers
- Ensure:
- Correct version control
- Formatting accuracy
- Aspect ratio and resolution compliance
- Coordinate tightly with show callers and event producers to avoid material misstatements or premature disclosures
3. Signal Flow, Redundancy & Reliability
- Maintain full understanding of end-to-end AV signal flow, including:
- SDI / HDMI / NDI
- Dante / AES67 audio networking
- Secure network segmentation (AV vs IT)
- Validate:
- Redundant playback systems
- Backup audio paths
- Failover procedures
- Perform pre-event testing, rehearsals, dry runs with executive stakeholders, and Corporate Communications
4. Live Event & Hybrid Execution
- Execute events involving:
- In-room audiences
- Remote executives
- External participants (analysts, regulators)
- Coordinate with:
- IT networking teams
- Information Security
- Compliance and Legal
- Maintain calm, discreet presence in C-suite and board-level environments
5. Compliance, Security & Documentation
- Adhere to:
- Information security policies
- Confidentiality requirements
- Financial regulatory obligations (e.g., recording retention)
- Support:
- Signal flow documentation
- Post-event reporting
- Incident tracking and root-cause analysis
- Follow AVIXA-aligned safety and operational standards
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 3–5+ years supporting live events in:
- Financial services
- Corporate headquarters
- Broadcast or mission-critical environments
- Direct experience supporting executives, board meetings, or regulated communications
Technical Skills
- Professional audio mixing and monitoring
- Video playback and live graphics operation – ATEM Switcher
- Strong understanding of AV signal flow
- Ability to troubleshoot under live, high-pressure conditions
