Pay: Up to $120K + Bonuses and great benefits package
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall operational leadership for plumbing and HVAC field operations across commercial and multifamily projects.
- Report directly to the Owner and provide regular updates on operational performance, staffing, project status, and financial metrics.
- Manage and support project managers, field supervisors, foremen, and service leadership.
- Oversee scheduling, manpower planning, and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Establish and enforce operational standards, procedures, and best practices across all jobs.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company quality standards.
- Monitor job cost performance, labor productivity, material usage, and gross margins.
- Work closely with estimating to review scopes, staffing plans, and pricing prior to contract execution.
- Identify and resolve operational issues, delays, or escalations impacting project performance or customer satisfaction.
- Lead hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions for field leadership in coordination with HR.
- Support business development efforts by assisting with operational input on proposals and client presentations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, profitability, and scalability
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, subcontractors, and inspectors
- Participate in strategic planning and growth initiatives alongside company ownership
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial plumbing and/or HVAC operations with at least 2 in a supervisory / management role.
- Proven experience managing multifamily projects and service operations.
- Strong understanding of job costing, labor forecasting, and operational KPIs
- Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing supervisors, project managers, and field personnel.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, schedules, and scopes of work.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with ownership, clients, and field staff.
- Proficiency with construction management, scheduling, and financial reporting software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
